Testimonials

From Our Families

"Before starting therapy with Robbi, our family struggled with communication and aggression with my daughter, Kaira. After years of traditional therapies, we saw more progress in one session with Robbi than ever before. She helped us navigate interpersonal complexities and helped Kaira with emotional regulation, social skills, and anxiety. She is no longer afraid of animals and is a huge blessing to us."

The Family of Kaira

"My son Dax is four years old and struggles with focus and deep pressure sensory needs. When Dax is on Lena, his distractions are limited. He enjoys his time on horseback while learning new skills, and the movement of the horse provides the sensory input he needs to stay calm. We are truly grateful for Robbi and her wonderful group of volunteers."

Heather, Mother of Dax

“Our son Theo has a smile that can brighten the room. He has a joy that is contagious. He has a love for people that is inspiring. And he also has a rare genetic disorder which causes him to grow rapidly.

From the very beginning, each small milestone he has reached has become a hard-won victory. With the help of many therapists, and through long hours of arduous work, Theo has learned how to do the most fundamental things – sitting, crawling, walking, and speaking.

Without the love and help that he has received from both therapists and family, Theo would not be where he is today. Robbi and Aloha Therapeutic Horsemanship are an integral part of Theo’s development, and we are so grateful that our son is a part of this great service. If you can, please donate to Theo. Every contribution allows Theo to continue receiving horse therapy and provides an opportunity for him to thrive. Your help reminds us that when life presents a problem, in time, life might also present a solution.”

With love and gratitude,

‘Phoebes journey with horse riding therapy has been a gift. As a child who doesn’t gravitate towards many structured activities, her connection with horses has opened a door that few other activities ever have.  From the very beginning, her confidence started to bloom as she began learning how to communicate with her horse.

It has offered her a calm, grounded rhythm that she looks forward to and I’ve seen a clear shift in her behavior, her self assurance and her ability to express herself.

A significant part of this and thanks has to go to Robbi. With her many years of experience, she brings not only skill but a deep, unwavering dedication, honoring each students pace while inspiring their growth.

We are very grateful for having the opportunity to be a part of her program and having safe and fun space for Phoebe to thrive.

"Therapeutic Horsemanship with Robbi has helped my son control behavioral and emotional dysregulation. This approach is unique and highly effective; the techniques produce a calming effect that results in increased focus and reduced anxiety. After three years in the program, his progress is palpable and observable at home, in school, and in the community. More power to Robbi, Phil, and the lovely volunteers."

"Seeing the progress of the riders and the smiles on their faces makes the lessons perhaps as therapeutic for me as it is for the riders themselves."

"I have been volunteering for Aloha Therapeutic Horsemanship for about eight months. I started with no horse experience and was immediately impressed with Robbi Nanni’s knowledge of both the horse’s temperament and the student’s ability. Witnessing these students' life improvements firsthand is exhilarating."
